Patrice Callahan is the social studies teacher in the Green House. She teaches Environmental Studies, Economics, Advanced Placement Human Geography and Advanced Placement Psychology. She loves adventure and exploring nature with her five grandchildren. She is or has been the advisor for Model United Nations, World Savvy, Global Minnesota World Quest, Student Council, Graduation Site Council, and Prom Committee. She prepares and guides students to attend the The United Nations Economic and Social Council conferences in New York and United Nations Climate Change Conference’s of the Parties. She has led field studies to Alaska, Australia, California, Ecuador, Galapagos Islands and summer Roatan. She is the SES teacher representative on the School of Environmental Studies Education Foundation. She is on the Steering Committee for the Minnesota Alliance for Geographic Education; teaching classes, attending national conferences. She studied Education for Sustainable Development in Japanese schools as a Fulbright Japan-United States Teacher. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
