Art Exploration

This hands-on art making course will offer opportunities for students of all skill levels exposure to 2D and 3D art through art appreciation and creation. The Minnesota Zoo’s exhibits and the Minneapolis Institute of Art are inspirational for several projects that will include a variety of hands-on activities that will incorporate techniques and materials such as: hand-built and wheel-thrown clay; acrylic, gouache or watercolor painting; printmaking; drawing mediums to include charcoal, pastel and/or graphite; and specialized projects may be glass-fused dishes, precious-metal clay pendants, journal making and bookbinding or large scale fabric appliqué decals, during this exciting and faced paced, week-long class.
